Hhhiiiyyyaaa!!!

Ooooh a nice onion soup for dinner. This is a dish that you do not need to think about getting any meat out to defrost. I love a good onion soup and this is the simplest of all onion soups, which still tastes great. I recognise that after work it is tiring to come up with a meal that does not take a lot of time and this is the dish that will be a help more than a hinderance.

The soup mix has the flavour but adding a bit of Thyme also enhances that flavour just a bit more. It makes it taste like you have gone above and beyond when you really haven't.

The cheapest French onion soup mix will be just fine to use. That is what I used and it was beautiful. You need about 80g so I used 2 x 40g packets. Make sure you really whisk the soup mix well before it goes in with the onions to prevent any clumps.

Although it tastes really good on it's own, there is nothing better than a nice piece of bread with some butter on. Oh yum, will you stop it right now.

I hope you enjoy it.
